How to do Technical writing?
- Select a particular topic.
- Know your audience for example if you are making a user manual for a software, your audience will be non-technical person so you have to explain all the abbreviations and technical terms.
- The most important step is to do research and gather information.
- Read all the provided materials means previous reports, project proposals, instructions etc.
- Talk to the people, conduct interviews, survey, distribute, questionnaire etc.
- Search through internet, read sample documents collect data, from different websites.
- Create outline, structure or format for your document.
- Now create the technical document, use simple words and concise sentences don't bore your audience.
- Read and recheck the document, remove grammatical mistakes.
- Document is ready, now you should get ready for the feedback.
