How to design a simple logo using adobe illustrator

task:

designing a logo for a dress designing brand.

1. Create a new document of 1000 px width and 1000 px height.

2. search google for images using "fashion drawing" as a keyword.Drag the saved image on art board or you may draw your own image on paper, scan the image then trace.


3. Select the image, now trace the image. click window option on the top bar and choose trace image.

4. Select the image and expand. Click object and click on expand.

5. select the image, click on magic wand then select the white part in image and press "back space"

6. Erase the unwanted part i.e. "lorem Ipsum".

7.Select the image then click on live paint bucket.

8. Select the color from swatches and fill into the the desired part of selected image.

9. Trace the second image in the same way and erase the unwanted part

10. increase the stroke size for 2nd image(we are only using the cap)

11.use the pen tool to draw a pink dress.

12. Now use the type tool to write the text.

13.Change the font and writing style(ctrl+shift+T).

14. Group the whole image(select all image+left click+select group)
15.save the image(ctrl+shift+altr+S)

16. you can add your creativity and colors

17. applying logo on mock-ups.
